Introducing one of our Sales Support team members, Chloe Johnston.  Chloe is based at our Stirling Depot.
Tell me your current role, how long you have been with HRN and where you are based.

I have been a member of the Sales Support team since joining HRN in October 2021, and am based in our Stirling depot.

What does a typical day at HRN look like?

Every day is different at HRN, which is one of the reasons why it is such a great place to work! My role in Sales Support covers a wide range of areas including assisting the sales team with the CRM (Customer Relationship Management system), helping with events and adding and updating stock on the website. This means that I am always kept on my toes, and I am grateful to HRN for allowing me to constantly develop new skills.

What has been your greatest challenge and why?

Aside from getting used to many unique accents when talking to customers over the phone, I think my biggest challenge has been building the CRM system. This was quite a daunting task initially, due to having no experience in this area prior to joining HRN. However, my boss Kirsteen supported me throughout the whole process, and it was exciting seeing it being used by the whole team! I am proud of what I have achieved so far with the CRM, and hopefully will continue to help it evolve and benefit the Sales team.

You look after all the calls that come into HRN, what’s the strangest thing that you have been asked for?

We get asked for lots of weird and wonderful things, but something that stands out to me is having had a few calls from people asking for health advice and prescriptions after misdialling a GP number!

What do you love most about your job role and why?

I love getting to chat with people from all walks of life and learning more about the farming industry – it’s extremely rewarding to play even a small part in this. Another great thing about my job is being able to work with so many departments across HRN and see what can be achieved when we all pull together.

Tell me something about Chloe, that no one knows.

I have a tattoo of a compass but am hopeless with directions!

So what you are saying is that if you have access to Sat Nav use this instead of using your directions!
