Get to know Bradley Van Der Merwe

Tell us a little bit about your current role

 I am looking after the local farmers in the Brechin area for all their agricultural machinery needs. Anything from sales, servicing, and parts, I am here to help.

 So – what made you decide to join HRN?

HRN is well well-established, family-run business that thrives in providing the best service and products available. As a salesman, you put your name behind the product and I am more than happy to give mine, with 100% confidence,  on any of our products, knowing that it will get the job done and the team will provide the best after-sales service.

 What are any challenges you face on the job?

Challenges of the job are getting in front of our local farmers, with their busy schedules.   It is often difficult to put everything on hold to allow me to introduce myself, but I will keep trying! Oh, and the cold! My South African blood is yet to defrost this winter 🥶

 What tip would you give to anyone interested in this career?

Be as honest and trustworthy as possible. Working with farmers is all about building relationships through good service. If you look after them, they will look after you! Having a smile on your face and enjoying the job does not hurt either.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I am a social person who enjoys a good conversation, I am also very interested in finding out what is happening in the farming world around me. Every year is different and every year there are new challenges that we all need to face, I am hoping that I can help where possible and will do all I can to support our local farmers.

If you could have dinner with any celebrity (dead or alive), who would it be?   

No hesitation there – it’s got to be Bruce Lee
