Get to know Kris McWalter
Introducing Kris McWalter, our new Construction Sales Representative for the North of Scotland.
We wanted to find out more about Kris and learn about not only his past work experience but what he likes to do to unwind when he’s not selling construction machinery.
Tell us about your industry experience?
From leaving school, I have worked in the Agricultural Part’s Industry for over 10 years. However, I have always had a keen interest in the construction industry, so I decided to make the move over to Construction sales and have loved every minute.
What made you want to be part of the team?
With my previous employer, I sold the Kubota brand and with my change to working in this industry, I was keen to follow the brand and continue learning and selling it, I honestly believe it is one of the best manufacturers of mini and midi excavators.
Also, with HRN working so closely with Agritrac, it means that I have the opportunity to help with the promotion of Hyundai Construction equipment – it really was a no brainer to join the team.
What are your hopes for your role at HRN?
I hope that working alongside the whole HRN team with all 7 soon to be 8 depots throughout Scotland we can deliver great outstanding service that Kubota and Hyundai customers deserve when investing in such premium brands!
What does Kris get up to when not out selling construction machinery?
When I’m not travelling all over the north of Scotland seeing customers etc and in a non-COVID world, I’m normally heavily involved with Kirriemuir Panto Group of which I’m the current President of, I have been involved with this group for almost 20 years. (Massive passion of mine)
I’m also a keen curler in the winter and in the summer it’s all about motorbike season for me.
